I don't know a single P. ayacahuite (s.str. or veitchii) or holfordiana in Styria, which are certainly most rare in Germany as well.

The image is licensed as public domain, but i did not add other people's images to there before. I can ask Andrè if this is ok with him, the person's face is hardly visible, as well as the sign of car. In case he wished these small details could be obscured, will tell you his response.

ich würde sagen, je mehr gute, Details zeigende Fotos, je besser, etwa von letztjährigen, nadeltragenden Trieben, mit teils sichtbarer Sprossachse, von Zapfen, Samen, Knospen und der gesamten Pinus × holfordiana.

Im Frühjahr ist es angenehmer, auch länger hell zum Fotografieren, dort gibt es ja noch andere interessante Bäume zu berichten. Freut mich sehr wenn du dir das vornimmst, gibt sicher höchst willkommene Beiträge.

Worauf sollte ich achten, wovon hättest du gern ein Foto? Oder sollte ich unbedingt bis zum Frühjahr warten, wenn junge Triebe da sind?

These botanists doubt in it's specific distinction.

In case i took it right, P. reflexa will turn more similar to P.flexilis in northern part of range, and more similar to P. strobiformis at southern part, so as if representing a fertile hybrid population.

Introgressions towards both, P. flexilis and strobiformis could be ongoing, thus where to draw specific borderlines ?? ;-O
