Pedunculate oak 'Champion Oak' in a forest near the village in Stuzhytsia

There is one pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) in a forest near the village in Stuzhytsia (Velykobereznians'kyi).

This tree is called "Champion Oak". One of the officially recognized (on July 6, 2010) National Trees of Ukraine. It has the widest girth among all of Ukraine’s oaks discovered so far and is probably the oldest oak in the country.

The girth of the tree is 9.60 m measured at a height of 1.30 m (Sep 25, 2009, Grinik). Its height is around 30.00 m (Sep 25, 2009, measurement method unknown, Grinik).
