Pedunculate oak near the Kholodnyi Yar natural landmark in Buda

There is one pedunculate oak (Quercus robur) near the Kholodnyi Yar natural landmark in Buda (Chyhyryns'kyi).

This tree is called "Maksym Zhelezniak Oak". One of the officially recognized (on July 6, 2010) National Trees of Ukraine. Many outstanding personalities of Ukraine are believed to have seen/visited this oak. It is still regarded by some as a contender for the “title” of Ukraine’s oldest oak.

The girth of the tree is 8.60 m measured at a height of 1.30 m (Jul 12, 2009, Kiev Society for Environmental Culture). Its height is around 30.00 m (Jul 12, 2009, measurement method unknown, Kiev Society for Environmental Culture).
