This tree is called "Maksym Zhelezniak Oak". One of the officially recognized (on July 6, 2010) National Trees of Ukraine. Many outstanding personalities of Ukraine are believed to have seen/visited this oak. It is still regarded by some as a contender for the “title” of Ukraine’s oldest oak.
The girth of the tree, measured at a height of 1.30 m, is 8.60 m (Jul 12, 2009, Kiev Society for Environmental Culture). Its height is around 30 m (Jul 12, 2009, measurement method unknown, Kiev Society for Environmental Culture).
