Pedunculate oak in the National Park of Białowieża

This is the tallest oak measured in the Bialowieza National Park. Till now Tomasz Niechoda found 79 oaks of 40 meters and above in the Polish part of the Bialowieza Forest.

The girth of the tree is 3.85 m measured at a height of 1.30 m (Apr 25, 2011, Tomasz Niechoda, Jeroen Philippona & Leo Goudzwaard). Its height is exactly 43.60 m (Apr 26, 2011, laser with Sine method (e.g. Nikon Forestry 550 laser rangefinder), Tomasz Niechoda). This tree was planted around the year 1820 ± 10, which makes it around 194 ± 10 years old (Jeroen Philippona, Oct 1, 2011).
