(en) I propose to consider a new method of measurement: not the Girth of the Trunk, Architectures of these kind of Trees are not possible to measure in this way; I consider the Central Body (CB) that is a huge geometry of columns, roots and branches, tipical of the specie. For what concern the biggest Specimens it is possibile to measure also the Total Perimeter (TP), considering marginal pillars.
Through this method I've measured the biggest ficus in Palermo:
Piazza Marina | Central Body: 40 meters; Total Perimeter: 70 meters;
Botanical Garden | CB: 28 meters; TP: 87 meters;
Villa Whitaker a Malfitano | CB: 30 meters (a inusual geometry so CB is the same as TP);
Palazzina Cinese | CB: 27 meters;
Palazzo dei Normanni | CB: 18 meters.
