This great oak was dedicated to Mr Liénard, forest ingeneer at the Arboretum of Tervuren from, I think, 1955 to 1990 (?). The legacy of G.Liénard includes the famous catalogue of 1986 which is still a reference for species registration in the arboretum nowadays.
