Sweet chestnut in the area Kastanjedal in Beek

There is one sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa) in the area Kastanjedal in Beek (municipality of Ubbergen).

This tree is called "Kabouterboom". The girth of the tree is 8.35 m measured at a height of 1.30 m (May 28, 2012, Leo Goudzwaard). Its height is exactly 25.00 m (2009, laser with Sine method (e.g. Nikon Forestry 550 laser rangefinder), Jeroen Philippona). This tree was planted around the year 1650 ± 50, which makes it around 363 ± 50 years old (Jeroen Philippona, Nov 19, 2011).
