The oldest Specimen of Fics macrophylla in Italy, planted By Vincenzo Tineo in the Botanic Garden of Palermo in 1845.
At that time Botanists called it "Ficus nervosa".
Today this Tree is the second biggest ficus in Italy, with a crown so large that its ground projection is around 1200 square meters.
The biggest One is the Specimen in Piazza Marina, Garibaldi Gardens, planted in the year 1863, with 10000 cubic meters of vegetal matter, Height 25 mt and a Trunk Girth / Central Body of 40 mt.
