Giant sequoia in the park of Palazzo Ducale in Pavullo nel Frignano

There is one giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) in the park of Palazzo Ducale in Pavullo nel Frignano (municipality of Modena).

Today a public park divided into two sections: the first, lower, managed by a Bar, open 2pm-2am, every day, little and embracing ten giant sequoias; the second, upper and wider, always open, with one big giant sequoia, two costal sequoias and one monumental Ceder of Libanon.

Sequoias have been planted at the beginning of the XXI Century, they've an hight from 15 to 35 meters.

Circumference of the trunks: 510 cm, 580, 650, 540, 670, 517, 558, 490, 413, 515.

The giant sequoia in the upper section of the park is 32 meters tall, it has a girth of 620 cm.

The girth of this tree is not known. Its height is not known. This tree was planted around the year 1905 ± 10, which makes it around 109 ± 10 years old (Tiziano Rootman Fratus, Jul 21, 2012).
