Coast redwood in the street Staatsforst Burgholz in Wuppertal

There is one coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) in the street Staatsforst Burgholz in Wuppertal.

About 500 Coast Redwoods were planted since 1969 in different areas and grow very well. Measurement = maximum girth/height.

Burgholz is the biggest arboretum in Germany. Perfect conditions for Sequoia sempervirens (wet/foggy/shady slope).

Also ca. 1000 Giant and Dawn Redwoods in Burgholz.

The girth of the tree is 3.17 m measured at a height of 1.30 m (Mar 2012, RedwoodMike). Its height is exactly 34.10 m (Mar 2012, laser with Sine method (e.g. Nikon Forestry 550 laser rangefinder), RedwoodMike). This tree was planted around the year 1969 ± 2, which makes it around 45 ± 2 years old (RedwoodMike, Jul 17, 2012).
