Been checking up on this - it is Tihue Laurelia sempervirens.

Does anyone know what species this is? It is not Laurus nobilis.

It could possibly be Persea lingue (the only species of Lauraceae native in this region), or possibly Laurelia sempervirens (sometimes called 'laurel' in Chilean Spanish, though not native quite as far south as this location).
